Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman has been discussing Granit Xhaka and his recent transformation at Arsenal.
At one point, Xhaka was almost being hounded out of the club due to his poor discipline and indifferent performances, but over the past 12 months or so he’s more than played his way back into the hearts of Arsenal supporters.
The midfielder has genuinely been one of the very best players in the Premier League this season, and he’s rightly gotten the credit he deserves from Seaman.

Seaman lauds Xhaka
The Arsenal legend gave the Swiss midfielder some special praise.
“He deserves credit because he’s worked hard. He had the captaincy taken off him, and rightly so at the time, but his form has really turned around. He still has his doubters and even during the game he messed up for Spurs’ goal, but his attitude is brilliant and I know for sure he’s loved around the dressing room,” Seaman said.
Transformed
If you told any Arsenal fan two years ago that Granit Xhaka would be one of the most beloved players in the Gunners squad under Mikel Arteta you’d have been laughed out of north London, but somehow, Xhaka has managed to completely change the perception surrounding him.
He’s no longer a yellow card machine who lets his emotions get the better of him, he’s a midfield general who turns up in the big moments.
A leader on the pitch and the conductor of the Arsenal orchestra, its almost impossible to understate Xhaka’s importance in this team.
Xhaka is an example to every footballer of how they can turn their careers around with the right amount of hard work and dedication.
