Brighton & Hove Albion fans do not appear to believe that they are in any danger of losing Ben White to Leeds United.

White has enjoyed an impressive season on loan at Leeds, where his performances at the back have been vital in helping them earn promotion.

Leeds are now expected to push to sign White on a permanent deal, but Brighton want to keep him for themselves.

Graham Potter said in a press conference yesterday that he is a huge fan of White, and wants to promote him to Brighton’s first-team next term.

“He’s our player, he’s got a long contract with us. I have known Ben for a while, I have been aware of him, wanted to try and sign him when we were at Swansea,” Potter said to the Telegraph and Argus

“I know about his qualities. He’s a fantastic player. He’s done brilliantly at Leeds and helped them get promotion – that’s fantastic for them, fantastic for him – but he’s our player and we’re looking forward to working with him.

The comments have sparked a huge debate among Leeds and Brighton fans on social media.

While Leeds supporters are confident that they can retain White, Brighton followers seemingly have no fear of losing the centre-back.

If Leeds were to lose White’s services for next campaign it would be a big blow to Bielsa’s side, as his partnership with Liam Cooper has been very impressive this term.
