Speaking on the Soccer AM YouTube channel, Eddie Nketiah has been waxing-lyrical about Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Nketiah is something of an understudy to Aubameyang, and it seems as though he really rates the Arsenal striker.
What’s been said?
Nketiah says that Aubameyang is almost impossible to defend against because of his movement.
Interestingly Nketiah also talked up the Gabon international’s impact on the dressing room at the Emirates.
“He’s very good man, his movement makes him very hard to defend against. He knows the type of striker he is and he knows what he wants to do and he maximises his attributes to the fullest. It’s a big plus having a teammate like him to learn from. He’s always happy, always smiling and always there to help and encourage us youngsters and other players. He’s a great striker to have on the pitch and to learn from,” Nketiah said.

Great to hear
Aubameyang may not have had the best of seasons at Arsenal, but it sounds as though his impact at the club is about more than what he does on the pitch.
Indeed, while Aubameyang has been criticised in the past, it does sound as though he’s a great captain who takes the time to teach the young players coming through a thing or two.
We can only hope that the likes of Nketiah, Folarin Balogun and Tyreese John-Jules can follow in Aubameyang’s footsteps at Arsenal and go on to become superstars.
