Ben White has told Arsenal’s Twitch channel that Charlie Patino always catches his eye in first-team training.
More praise for Patino
Patino has made waves this season, with his performances for Arsenal’s development sides really catching the eye.
The young midfielder may only be 17, but he is already looking like a stand-out player at under-23 level.
His level of technical ability, combined with his passing range, means that opposition sides have really struggling to deal with his threat.
And White admits that Patino looks like the pick of the bench of Arsenal’s youngsters.
When asked about the young talent, the £50 million defender said: “There’s a lot to be fair. They’re in our training sessions a lot and they’re not struggling. Our training is really high quality and they have fitted right into that. There’s a lot coming through.
“Charlie [Patino], he’s very good,” he added, when asked which youngster had caught his eye the most.

Debut incoming?
Patino’s senior debut at the Emirates Stadium is now surely not too far away.
The youngster, who has been compared to Jack Wilshere, has been around the first-team squad for some time now, and Mikel Arteta can only ignore him for so long.
Patino is not the most physically imposing currently, which may mean that Arteta is reluctant to use him in the Premier League.
However, with Arsenal still going strong in the League Cup, his opportunity may arise there in the coming weeks.
