Norwich supporters have hailed Tottenham loanee, Oliver Skipp, following their promotion to the Premier League on Saturday.
The Tottenham academy product has been an integral part of Daniel Farke’s side making an instant return to the promised land.
A combative midfielder, with aggression and a natural ability to sense out danger, Skipp hasn’t just been a success for Norwich, but one of the best midfielders in the Championship this season.
Therefore, it isn’t a surprise that some quarters of the Norwich support want him signed up for next season.
Now, whilst Tottenham don’t need Skipp given that they have an older version of him in Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, they still need to bulk up that squad with much-needed quality.
It would be a surprise if Spurs allow Skipp to leave on a permanent basis given the way he is growing as a footballer and the heights he could hit.
But another loan deal wouldn’t be a bad shout, and given that Norwich aren’t big spenders, it’s something that would, of course, suit them down to the ground.
Norwich may have lost their celebration game to Bournemouth last night, but their fans were still pleased with their number 6 rock in midfield.
