‘He’s unbelievable’: Harry Kane claims 2019 Spurs signing is just different class

Quite a lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans are big admirers of Tanguy Ndombele and it would seem as if Harry Kane is no different.

Tottenham broke their club record on signing the France international from Lyon in a £63 million deal during Mauricio Pochettino’s reign in 2019.

And although he had a relatively poor first season under Pochettino – and later Jose Mourinho – Ndombele’s class is plain to see this time around.

The 24-year-old has scored six times and set up another four in all competitions for Spurs this season – and his lobbed effort in a win away to Sheffield United is certainly a Premier League Goal of the Year candidate.

In fact, with the exception of perhaps Kane, you could argue that Ndombele has been Tottenham’s second or third best player throughout the campaign.

And the 27-year-old hitman has gushed over his Lilywhites team-mate, telling Lad Bible: “Yeah, he’s technically unbelievable, to be fair to him. You see his goal against Sheffield United the way he lobbed the keeper. Yeah, unbelievable skill, unbelievable on the ball.”

If Kane isn’t fit for today’s League Cup final, Tottenham will need Ndombele to step up.

Of course, he isn’t a striker and therefore he won’t be judged on goals, but it’s an ideal time to prove that he’s a big-game player for the clash against Manchester City and if he helps Spurs to the trophy, it’ll reinforce his resurgence over the past two years.
