
Stoke City fans lauded Tottenham winger Jack Clarke after he helped his side record a 1-1 draw against Huddersfield in the Championship on Saturday.
The highly-rated Tottenham loanee won a penalty in the first half, which was converted by Steven Fletcher, to level the scores in Yorkshire.
The Stoke supporters praised Clarke for his attacking mindset and seemingly being the only one trying to make something happen on the day.
But during the second period, Stoke boss Michael O’Neil opted to substituted the Spurs man, which didn’t sit well with the fans.
They felt that Clarke should have stayed on the pitch and a more defensive-minded player should have gone off.
In the end, Stoke walked away with a single point and they remain four points outside of the play-off places having also played a game more than some of those around them.
Nonetheless, whilst Stoke’s engine is yet to get going at full blast, their supporters are saying positive things about Tottenham’s 2019 summer signing.
