Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been linked with a move to West Ham United.
According to The Mirror, West Ham United are keen to land Liverpool attacker Daniel Sturridge during the January transfer window, with some huge numbers being mentioned for any deal.
Sturridge, 27, thrived at Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers, finishing as runner-up in the race for the 2014 Premier League Golden Boot with 21 goals in just 29 games during the 2013/14 season.

However, Sturridge has struggled with injury problems ever since, playing in just 34 league games since the end of the 2013/14 campaign, and has now dropped down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp.
Roberto Firmino is Klopp’s first-choice striker now, and with Sturridge having to make do with a bit-part role at Anfield, speculation suggests he could leave the club in January.

The Mirror report that West Ham and Stoke are both looking to land Sturridge if he decides to leave Liverpool, despite a £28m asking price and whopping wages of £120,000-a-week.
Unsurprisingly, the reports caused a stir with West Ham fans, who have seen summer signings Jonathan Calleri and Simone Zaza fail to find the net despite being brought in to give Slaven Bilic an attacking boost.

Hammers fans took to Twitter to comment on the reports, with many claiming that they would love to see Sturridge sign for the club, even urging co-chairman David Gold to do the deal, but plenty ultimately think he may be out of their league.
Others noted that West Ham could get Sturridge for just £8m more than what they’re planning to pay for on-loan striker Zaza, but some don’t want Sturridge at all, noting that he has a similar injury record to the last striker West Ham bought from Liverpool; Andy Carroll.
Here are some of the reactions from West Ham fans after Daniel Sturridge was linked with the club.
