Barnsley winger Clarke Oduor stated on Instagram that Pascal Struijk is ‘too good’ after he helped Leeds secure a thumping 5-0 win against West Brom on Tuesday night.

Despite being depleted at the back, Leeds have still managed to secure back-to-back clean sheets and have secured six points in the process.

Whilst Christmas has passed, Romaine Sawyers decided to hand a late present to the Yorkshire side when his no-look back pass resulted in him scoring an own goal and opening the scoring at the wrong end.

From then on, the ruthless and 100 miles per hour machine that is Leeds well and truly punished Sam Allardyce’s men.

Nonetheless, a number of players reacted to Struijk’s Instagram message after the game, as they were lauding him for his performance.

Liam Cooper wrote: ‘Different class, Pasc’. Whilst Jamie Shackleton simply added: ‘Cruise control’.

Olly Casey also responded by saying: ‘What a player’ and Luke Ayling, who was one of the best players on the pitch last night, wrote: ‘Not bad you’.

Whether Leeds have just been thumped, struggling for form, on a high or having to deal with an injury crisis, their mindset never changes.

That is some quality to have because it allows the team to play with confidence even during the difficult periods, which even the best of teams find hard to do.

All of that stems from Marcelo Bielsa, who is perhaps the most demanding coach in the league, although he will meet his match in Jose Mourinho next.
