RB Leipzig defender Angelino has told the the Guardian that Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold can be too attacking.
Alexander-Arnold has actually come in for some criticism this season, with the right-back’s defending called into question.
With Liverpool’s form dipping, the England international has been asked to play on the back-foot more often this term, and he has been found wanting occasionally.
And Angelino admits that Leipzig feel that they can hurt Liverpool because of the space that their full-backs leave.
“We got behind their full-backs a few times,” the £16 million full-back said (Athletic). “Their technique is really good. Alexander-Arnold with the ball is unbelievable, but sometimes he’s too attacking.
“So we have to explore the weakness, get a few more chances like we did in the first game. That was our mistake: we didn’t put them away.”

Whether those comments will motivate Alexander-Arnold ahead of Wednesday night’s game remains to be seen.
Liverpool go into the game with a 2-0 head-start, so it remains to be seen whether the Reds will play with slightly more caution.
Leipzig do possess attacking talent, and with Liverpool’s confidence low, they will surely be keen to avoid conceding the first goal, otherwise Leipzig may feel confident of turning the tie around.
Alexander-Arnold actually didn’t even start Liverpool’s game against Fulham at the weekend, but he is expected to come back into the line-up tomorrow.
