Speaking on Leeds United’s YouTube Channel, Ian Poveda has claimed that Patrick Bamford is terrible at doing skills.

Leeds have a number of very tricky players such as Raphinha, Pablo Hernandez and even Poveda himself, but the winger says that Bamford doesn’t quite have the ability to pull off even the most basic of moves.

Hilariously, Poveda claims that Bamford trips up whenever he even tries to do a stepover.

“The worst one, I have to say, Patrick Bamford. He’s the worst. I’d give him a rating of 32. He trips up whenever he tries to do a stepover and then complains that the pitch is slippery, but he’s wearing studs,” Poveda said.

Come to think of it, it’s hard to remember a time where Bamford has attempted a trick on the pitch.

He’s an industrious striker and he’s very effective, but he isn’t actually that much of a dribbler.

However, Leeds fans won’t mind, Bamford continues finding the back of the net, and that’s what matters when you’re a number nine, not doing stepovers and fancy flicks.

Of course, this all in good jest, Poveda is clearly having a laugh with his teammate and he isn’t being nasty in his comments.

Skills are an ever-increasing part of football as flair players continue to thrive in the Premier League, but we don’t think we’ll be seeing Bamford on any showboat compilations anytime soon.
