Speaking on Sky Sports Football’s YouTube channel, Gareth Bale has named former Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker as the fastest player he’s ever played with.

Bale has shared the pitch with some absolute speedsters during his career including Cristiano Ronaldo, Lucas Moura and Daniel James, but he maintains that Walker is the fastest player he’s ever shared a pitch with.

What’s been said?

Bale was asked to name the fastest player he’s ever played alongside, and he was quick to say that the 31-year-old was the top dog in that department.

“Kyle Walker is very, very quick, I would probably say that he’s the quickest,” Bale said.

The fastest

Walker is absolutely rapid, there’s no doubt about that, but Bale has played with some very speedy players.

Bale of course would know better than us, but as an outsider looking in, we’d have to say that Walker has some serious competition for this title.

One player who immediately springs to mind is Wales’ Dan James, the winger is absolutely electric, and we’re still yet to see a full-back who can keep up with him, and that includes Walker.

That’s a race that we’d absolutely love to see, and it may be a battle to keep an eye out for in the next Manchester derby.
