Some Wolves fans on social media have been calling for Patrick Cutrone to be put back into the starting XI.

The Italian has returned from his loan spell in Serie A this week, and he made his first appearance of the campaign for Wolves in their 2-1 loss to Everton on Tuesday evening.

Wolves lacked a cutting edge in front of goal for the majority of the game, and it’s not hard to see why.

Nuno started a very inexperienced frontline of Pedro Neto, Morgan Gibbs-White and Fabio Silva against the Toffees, and while Gibbs-White and Silva are clearly talented players, they simply don’t have the experience of playing at this level.

Wolves fans argue that too much pressure is being put on their young shoulders and that Cutrone should come in to alleviate some of that.

Of course, Cutrone himself is only 23 years old, so he may not be the solution to all of Wolves’ problems, but he does have over 100 league games to his name, which is at least more than Silva and Gibbs-White.

Other supporters argued that Cutrone isn’t an effective option off of the bench, especially when the opposition is sitting deep trying to soak up pressure, due to how difficult it is to create anything against a side playing in this way.

It has to be said that Wolves fans have a point, Fabio Silva looks talented, but he hasn’t fine-tuned his game quite yet, so a starting berth for him seems to be a little too much to ask of the teenager, and Cutrone coming in could alleviate a lot of the pressure he’s feeling at the moment.

Here’s what the Molineux faithful have been saying on social media…
