Former Spain international David Villa believes reported Liverpool target Ferran Torres is the future of Valencia and has a big career ahead of him, Superdeporte report.
Valencia has produced some stunning players over the years. Villa won everything with club and country, Juan Mata is still going strong while Manchester City’s David Silva is a Premier League great.

Torres is seen as the next gem to emerge from the Paterna complex. According to Goal, Liverpool have made contract over a potential deal for him.
The versatile winger has a £92 million release clause in his contract.
Speaking to Superdeporte, Villa believes Torres is a future superstar.
“I do not have the pleasure to meet Ferran personally, but he is the future of Valencia, and I am also very fond of him. Besides he has spoken many times very well about me in the press, I hope he has a spectacular career. He is still 20 years old, he has everything ahead of him.”
Ferran Torres ticks plenty of boxes for Liverpool:
Torres has produced six goals and seven assists in La Liga for Valencia this season.
The 20-year-old is an excellent dribbler with superb passing ability.
Liverpool may have run away with the Premier League this season, but there is room for improvement at Anfield.
The Reds crashed out of the Champions League and FA Cup prior to the Covid-19 suspension. Jurgen Klopp has a talented but small squad to work with.
Xherdan Shaqiri and Adam Lallana are likely to leave this summer. A new attacking option to push the front three is a priority and Torres fits the bill.
The Spanish youngster can cover both flanks. Moreover, his age and potential mean he fits in with Liverpool’s ambitions of long-term success at the top.
