Speaking to OTB, former Republic of Ireland international Kenny Cunningham has been waxing-lyrical about Bukayo Saka.

The winger has been utterly brilliant for Arsenal for the past two years or so, and at the age of just 20, he has so much room to still improve.

Saka is arguably Arsenal’s best player right now, and Cunningham believes he’s good enough to play for any team in the world including PSG, Real Madrid and Manchester City.

What’s been said?

Cunningham raved about Saka.

“They have to build a team around those young players. For me, Saka is the outstanding one of them,” Cunningham said.

“Saka for me, he’s the one, he’s head and shoulders, absolutely outstanding. That kid could play for any of the top clubs in the world, he could walk into PSG, Real Madrid or Manchester City and the transition would be seamless, he’s that good.”

Need to be ambitious

Cunningham’s comments here show exactly why Arsenal need to be ambitious in the coming years.

Saka is an elite talent, and if the Gunners continue to fail to compete for the top honours, he will be poached by a team like PSG, Real Madrid or City.

He’s already being linked to Liverpool, and if Arsenal fail to finish in the top four this season, it may not be long before the youngster is assessing his options.

Saka’s future is incredibly bright, but if Arsenal’s ambition doesn’t match his ability, he could end up playing elsewhere.
