Bruno Fernandes has stuck up for Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah on Manchester United’s official website.
Salah has come under fire at times this season, with Liverpool falling short of expectations.
The Egyptian may not have received the same level of criticism as many of his Liverpool teammates – but he has been questioned more this term than ever before.
Salah, though, still sits second in the Premier League goalscoring charts – with 20 goals.
And Fernandes insists that the Liverpool man remains one of the best players in the Premier League, even if he’s heard people saying that he’s not played well this term.
“If we go to the Liverpool squad, for example, I think Salah, if you say he’s playing well or not, he’s still scoring goals,” he said.

Salah is set to come into direct competition with Fernandes on Thursday night now.
Liverpool are about to take on Manchester United, and Fernandes looks a likely starter.
The Portuguese creator didn’t start for the Red Devils last night, in their defeat to Leicester City, which suggests he’ll be picked tomorrow.
Liverpool will be desperate for Salah to show his very best in that contest.
Liverpool surely need to win against United if they are to stand any chance of breaking back into the top four.
