Some Arsenal fans on social media have been loving what Matteo Guendouzi has said about one of their players in an interview with Oh My Goal after the quotes circulated on social media.
The French midfielder was asked to name who he thinks is the best young talent in world football at the moment, and he understandably said that Kylian Mbappe is the best young player on the planet.
However, he said that if he had to name anyone younger than Mbappe then he would say Arsenal’s starlet Bukayo Saka.
As you can imagine, this sent the Gunners fanbase into a bit of a frenzy.
Some fans were buzzing that Saka was getting this sort of recognition, claiming that Guendouzi was spot on with his comments, while others believed this to be a bit of a nod towards his affinity to the club.
Guendouzi has had a bit of a rocky relationship with Arsenal lately, being sent out on loan this season, but these comments have made fans believe he still wants to be a part of the club.
Whether or not Guendouzi does come back into the fold next season remains to be seen, but a number of supporters online believe that’s what he wants.
