Mario Lemina has told Sky Sports that Arsenal forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, is ‘still a kid’ at heart.
The Fulham midfielder stated that his fellow countryman likes his ‘manga cartoons’ and ‘comic-book superheroes’.
Whilst Aubameyang, 31, was pushing to be the Premier League’s top marksman last season, it’s a completely different story this time around, as his form has dipped at an alarming rate.
But Lemina shared that, at the start, Aubameyang ‘wasn’t the best’, as he praised him for reaching the top level.
“He likes fancy things,” said Lemina. “You can see the cars, he likes manga cartoons, comic-book superheroes, he’s still a kid.
“That’s his personality. He is a really happy guy, he deserves where he is right now.
“As a player I really respect him, I know his background. He wasn’t the best player at the beginning and he has worked so hard to get where he is right now, that’s why I respect him a lot.
“We are good friends, we don’t talk every day. He doesn’t want to bother me, he would rather be with his family but he is a really good guy. He’s an amazing person.”
All of Aubameyang’s qualities will be needed tonight as Arsenal push for progression in the Europa League.
Given that Slavia Prague have the away goal, Arsenal need to score tonight, else they’ll be heading towards the exit door.
And given where Arsenal are in the Premier League, and how certain senior stars have performed this term, the reaction won’t be pleasant if the worst were to happen.
