Some Tottenham Hotspur fans are talking about an incident between Eric Dier and Tanguy Ndombele on Twitter.
There is footage doing the rounds on social media of Ndombele looking upset following a training-ground moment between the pair at Spurs’ stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Dier appeared to foul his French teammate in a mini game between two sets of Tottenham players.
Immediately after, Ndombele trudged off the field and lobbed what looked like a water bottle away in frustration.
Here’s how some fans of the North Londoners are reacting on Twitter:
Toughen up
Despite being a huge talent, Ndombele, who set the club back a record £63 million when they signed him from Lyon two years ago, needs to toughen up a little.
Yes it was a foul and yes in a real match it would’ve won him a free kick.
But being upended in a meaningless training-ground match is nothing to be upset about and he’ll need a thicker skin going forward.
This is a big season for Ndombele.
The France international improved last season, in comparison to a very mixed first year in North London, but continued improvement is absolutely vital.
