Mateusz Klich only moved to Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

Leeds United appear to have put their autumn blip behind them, and look good for a top six finish once more.
That’s not to say that business won’t be done in January, however, as the Whites strive for a return to the Premier League following 14 years away.
But what can we expect of Thomas Christiansen’s side, in terms of outgoings, when the transfer window opens? HITC tracked down three Leeds fans to find out…

Do Leeds need to sell to buy in January? Not really, but we do need to sell players in the middle of the park, for example [Mateusz] Klich and [Eunan] O’Kane. They are simply not good enough.
In what positions are they over-stocked? As I said, central midfield is pretty full. We’ve maybe a touch too many wide players too.
Which player do you most fear losing in January? Samu Saiz, without a doubt.
Which player would you most like to see the back of?I would not care one jot if Pierre-Michel Lasogga went back to his parent club, Hamburg.
Which players do you expect to leave Leeds in January? Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Mateusz Klich and Jay-Roy Grot could all leave on loan [edit – Grot has already appeared for two clubs this season, the maximum permitted by FIFA, but could return to NEC Nijmegen]

Do Leeds need to sell to buy in January? No, I don’t think so. It would help but I don’t think it’s essential.
In what positions are they over-stocked? Central midfield is probably the position where we may have too many options. There’s a couple of attacking players that I can’t see getting into the team anytime soon as well.
Which player do you most fear losing in January? I’m actually (cautiously) optimistic we’re not going to lose any of our best players. Losing Samuel Saiz would be a real blow though.
Which player would you most like to see the back of? I hate to say it but Hadi Sacko looks to be really struggling. I thought he may kick on after coming back in the summer but he’s done so little apart from the Burnley game. A loan move may help him, but I’m not sure he’s going to turn it around at any point.
Which players do you expect to leave Leeds in January? I think Mateusz Klich will leave on loan, or possibly permanently. I can’t see any other first-team departures unless Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is recalled.

Do Leeds need to sell to buy in January? Not at all. Andrea Radrizzani is not the richest owner in the Football League, but equally he isn’t a pauper.
In what positions are they over-stocked? Central midfield, we’ve got bloody hundreds of them! And we’ve just signed another, in the shape of Japanese international Yosuke Ideguchi (although he won’t join the club until at least next summer due to his lack of a work permit).
Which player do you most fear losing in January? Samu Saiz – the heartbeat of everything that’s good about the team at the minute. I can’t see it happening though.
Which player would you most like to see the back of? Mateusz Klich has been rubbing me up the wrong way recently. The central midfielder (told you we had bloody hundreds of them) and Poland international – has struggled to make an impact since joining in the summer and has taken to social media in recent weeks to post exasperated GIFs whenever he’s left out of the starting XI again… maybe just get your head down and work a bit harder Mateusz. Young striker Jay-Roy Grot also badly needs a loan move away from the club to give him some confidence – and to regain the ability to kick a football…
Which players do you expect to leave in January? Jay-Roy Grot on loan, Mateusz Klich sounds like he’s heading back to the Dutch league and maybe Cameron Borthwick-Jackson’s deal will be cut short and he’ll head back to Man United – he’s failed to have any kind of impact on the team so far.
