‘He’s really good’: Some Real Madrid fans react to Everton transfer rumour

Real Madrid fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumours that they want to sign Everton striker, Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The Sun have suggested that Carlo Ancelotti, who left Everton this month, wants to bring the Englishman to Spain.

It would be quite a surprise if Calvert-Lewin ended up on Madrid’s doorstep, but he did just produce the best season of his career in 2020/21.

The 24-year-old netted 16 Premier League goals for an Everton side that finished in the top ten and lacked that creative quality for large parts of the season.

Calvert-Lewin’s rise from being a hard-working forward to a devastating penalty-box poacher stemmed from the work Ancelotti & Co. did with him on the training ground.

So, from that aspect, it’s no surprise that he wants a reunion with the player, who is currently on international duty with England.

But Real Madrid fans have expressed mixed views on the matter, with some liking him as a number nine, but others thinking he won’t be good enough.

There’s no doubting that Calvert-Lewin, who has the leap of a basketball player, is one of the top strikers in the Premier League.

But, from the outside, if your team is going to push for an English striker then your thoughts would instantly turn to Harry Kane.
