Speaking on Goal’s YouTube channel, Michail Antonio has been taking part in the ‘Simply The Best’ series.
The Jamaican international was asked to name who the best player is in training behind the scenes at West Ham, and the striker gave a rather interesting answer.
The Hammers have a number of immensely talented players on their books at the moment such as Declan Rice and Said Benrahma, but according to Antonio, the best player at West Ham’s training ground is Jarrod Bowen.

Antonio praises Bowen
Antonio was asked who the best player in West Ham training is, and he settled on Bowen as his answer.
“The best player in training I would say maybe Jarrod Bowen. He picks the ball up, he drives at anybody and he always finishes, he’s quality,” Antonio said.
Not surprising
It’s not all that surprising to hear that Bowen is the best player in West Ham training.
The winger is one of the most supremely talented footballers in the Premier League, and he’s not just shining in West Ham training.
Indeed, Bowen is also making his mark in England training. In fact, just this week on the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman claimed that Bowen was the best finisher at St George’s Park when he went up to watch England training earlier this year.
“When I went up to St George’s Park at the end of last season I watched all of the goalkeepers training and they did a shooting exercise and he was by far the best finisher of the whole lot, of the whole lot. Unreal he was,” Seaman said.
Bowen is fantastic on the pitch, and it sounds as though he’s even better behind the scenes.
