Aston Villa boss Dean Smith has raved about Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane after last night’s game, in an interview with BBC Sport.
Tottenham were downed by Villa last night, with Smith’s side running out 2-1 winners in the contest.
Kane wasn’t actually at his best in the game, with the Tottenham striker starved of service.
But when asked about the England captain after the game, Smith still had some very kind words on the striker.
“He’s outstanding,” Smith said. “His movement, how he can drop short and link up play. How he drifts into areas that gives defenders problems and his finishing as well. He’s an outstanding individual as well.”
Tottenham supporters will need no reminder of Kane’s quality, but the quotes just go to show how respected the striker is across the league.

If Tottenham do lose Kane this summer, which is looking increasingly likely, it will be devastating blow for the Lilywhites.
Kane was actually filmed looking very emotional on a lap of honour at full-time yesterday, which only heightened the claims that he could move on from Spurs at the end of the campaign.
If that was to be the last time the Tottenham striker played in front of the Spurs fans, it was not the fairytale ending he would have dreamed of.
Tottenham were abject throughout the contestand could have lost by a greater margin if Villa were more clinical in front of goal.
