Ian Wright firmly believes that Liverpool No.9 Darwin Nunez is destined to have one hell of an individual season sometime soon.
During his debut season in the Premier League, the Uruguayan forward has been a mixed bag at Anfield.
However, many, including Ian Wright can see Darwin Nunez tearing the Premier League up in a Liverpool shirt.
Ian Wright backs Darwin Nunez to become a smash hit
While Nunez hasn’t been wholly unimpressive, it is worth saying that his finishing has simply been shocking and it would help that his technical attributes improve if he is not putting the ball in the back of the net.
Simultaneously, the former Benfica goalscorer has also shown plenty of positive signs, as his movement, pressing and ability to do a job as a winger have all been impressive.
Ian Wright, who knows a thing or two about being a successful striker in England to say the least has backed Liverpool speedster Darwin Nunez to not just come good but become a huge success eventually.

“You know there was that season that Mo Salah had that season where everything went in? [Gabriel] Martinelli hit the bar there, but he will have a season where everything flies in and it’s all top corner bangers. It feels like he’s on the verge of it”, the Arsenal legend’s co-host said on Wrighty’s House Podcast.
Wright added, “He’s going to have that season, and you know who else is going to have a season like that? Darwin Nunez is going to have that season and we’ll talk about that at some stage for another one.”
Liverpool fans will certainly hope Ian Wright is bang on about Darwin Nunez as the quality in his game has shone through.
However, Nunez still seems like quite a raw talent and it has not helped his case that he has been rotated out of the side quite often.
With his confidence presumably being quite low as well currently, one must give the 23-year-old some time before well and truly judging his time in Merseyside.
