Costa made a rare start as Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Brentford on Tuesday.

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans are wondering what has happened to Helder Costa.
The Portuguese winger lit up Molineux last season, scoring 12 goals and making another 11 for his teammates.
So good was Costa’s form in the fist half of 2016-17 that Wolves paid a then club record £13 million to sign him permanently from parent club Monaco.

The 23-year-old’s campaign was cut short a month early, however, and by the time of his return to action in late September, Wolves were a team transformed.
The fine form of Ivan Cavaleiro and Diogo Jota has restricted Costa to six starts all season, the latest of which came against Brentford on Tuesday.

But despite running out 3-0 winners at Molineux, it was not until after Costa’s departure in the 54th minute that the home side made their breakthrough, with quickfire goals from Ruben Neves and Barry Douglas, and another from Diogo Jota 10 minutes from time, doing the damage.
Here’s what Wolves fans are saying about their number 17’s display…
