Leeds United fans believe that Kiko Casilla is leaving in the summer, after Marcelo Bielsa’s decision to bring him back into the team last night.
Bielsa controversially selected Casilla ahead of Illan Meslier at Southampton, as Leeds went on to pick up a 2-0 victory.
The Spaniard has played a reserve role all season, but Bielsa has now told Sky Sports that Casilla will play in Leeds’ final two games.
Given the form of Meslier, the decision appears to make little sense on the face of it.
But Leeds fans believe that Bielsa’s decision hints that Casilla will be heading elsewhere in the summer.
And that he is only being given game-time to give him a send-off at Elland Road.
On the pitch, Casilla actually performed fairly well for Leeds last night.
The former Real Madrid man looked shaky under a few crosses, and was a little rusty with his distribution early on, but he also made some classy saves.
A stop from Che Adams was the pick of the bench, as he kept a clean-sheet on a rare appearance.
Leeds’ final game of the season comes against West Bromwich Albion, and a victory could even take them into seventh place, if other results go in their favour.
