‘He’s not wrong’: Some Arsenal fans react to Tottenham man’s claim on Sunday

Arsenal fans provided a mixed reaction to Jose Mourinho’s comments after Tottenham suffered a North London derby day defeat on Sunday.

After the game, there was a lot of talk about referee Michael Oliver and the awarding of a penalty to Alexandre Lacazette, with Davinson Sanchez punished for his rash tackle.

Mourinho suggested in his post-match interview that it wasn’t a penalty, and in his own typical way, he told Sky Sports ‘No post-match interviews for referees? It’s a pity’.

He also questioned whether the referee got ‘tired’ after claiming that Oliver made a ‘mistake’ for the penalty call, which ended up being the match-winning goal.

Arsenal fans were mixed in what Mourinho had to say, with some agreeing that they were fortunate to get the spot-kick, but others thinking that the Spurs boss just simply couldn’t accept defeat.

Debates can rage over the penalty call, but in terms of the game itself, Arsenal were the better side for the majority.

It wasn’t until the final 10-15 minutes that Spurs started to seriously worry their neighbours, with Harry Kane having a goal disallowed and then hitting the woodwork.

But once again, it seems as though Mourinho is bringing drama to the table for Arsenal fans, whether he is in Chelsea’s colours or now Tottenham’s.
