Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has revealed that Andy Robertson is the joker in the Liverpool pack.
Robertson joined the Reds in an £8 million move from Hull City back in 2017.
Since then, the Scotland international has been a roaring success, being a mainstay in helping Liverpool to two Champions League finals – one of which they won – and a Premier League title in July.
But it looks like the former Celtic trainee is also an influential member of Jurgen Klopp’s squad off the pitch.
Asked on Soccer AM’s YouTube channel about who the funniest Liverpool player is, Oxlade-Chamberlain said that his team-mate can be ‘a bit horrible’ to play against.
He said: “Andy Robertson, without a shadow of a doubt. He’s not what I expected either, from playing against him at Hull. I’m the type of player, on the pitch, mid-game, I can give the opposition a bit, but in a friendly, jokey way.
“And I was always on the right wing against Robbo, he never really gave me anything. He’s a bit horrible on the pitch.”
In addition to being a funny man, Robertson also happens to be one of Europe’s best left-backs.
Since joining three years ago, he has racked up a staggering 32 assists for Liverpool in all competitions which, for a defender, is quite a feat.
And on Thursday he helped Scotland reach their first major tournament since 1998 when Steve Clarke’s side beat Serbia on penalties to qualify for Euro 2021.
