Rio Ferdinand has told BT Sport that he thinks he could tell Harry Winks is not happy with his lack of game time at Tottenham Hotspur.
Winks started for Spurs last night and he caught the eye, as Tottenham won 4-1.
Winks scored Spurs’s second goal of the evening, with a well placed, left-footed finish from outside the box and was awarded Man of the Match.
After the game, Winks admitted that he wasn’t playing as much as he liked in his post match interview.
And Ferdinand says that he could feel that Tottenham midfielder’s unhappiness about the situation.
“I think he’s got no better example than Ndombele, who’s been one of their better players in recent weeks,” the former Manchester United defender explained.
“He’s shown if you fight, show the right attitude and character, along with quality, then you will get an opportunity.
“Harry is made of the right stuff, he’s a Spurs fan who wants to play here and wants to be here, he’s the right type of character.

“But there’s a tinge of that he’s not happy being a regular and a starter.”
Winks was one of Jose Mourinho’s most regular selections last term, but the Spurs boss has gone in a different direction this season, following the arrival of Pierre Emile Hojbjerg.
Tottenham have looked to add more power to their midfield, which has caused Winks to miss out.
Spurs are next in action on Thursday against Liverpool, but it seems most likely that Winks will start on the bench, despite his impressive showing last night.
