Michael Dawson has stated that Harry Kane is ‘frustrated’ at Tottenham, as he told Soccer Special on Sky Sports (13/11/21 at 2:30 pm).
The Tottenham ambassador was comparing the differences between Kane for club and country.
On Friday night, Kane scored a hat-trick for the Three Lions, as they thumped Albania in their World Cup qualifier.
Over on the domestic stage, he only has one Premier League goal to his name and has shown some real signs of struggle – the well-documented rumours about his future in the summer hasn’t helped matters.
Whilst there is a real struggle in North London, the same can’t be said when he is donning the colours of his country.
Ex-Spurs defender Dawson touched upon Kane’s situation and how more creativity on the international stage is curbing his frustration.
“It’s frustration as well when he is playing for Spurs,” said Dawson. “He is frustrated that he’s not getting opportunities in the box. He knows it’s going to come from wide areas (at England).
“Under Nuno, they were very defensive and they weren’t getting into the final third with what Spurs have.
“But with Harry Kane, you can never question his mentality. Forward players, you have to have something there.
“People question ‘is he back?’. He was never gone He wasn’t playing well and he wasn’t scoring goals. If he gets the opportunity, he will finish. But he just looks perfect for England.”

Tottenham fans can only take positives from what Kane is producing over the international break.
Regardless of the opposition, if he returns to North London with a bit more confidence then it bodes well for the club and Antonio Conte.
It’s the mighty San Marino who await England on Monday night and Kane might just earn back-to-back starts.
Given the level of opposition, if he does start, then another hat-trick is probably on the cards, one in either half that is.
