According to Fabrizio Romano, Divock Origi will not sign a new contract at Liverpool, with his current terms set to expire in June.
What’s the story?
Well, it seems Liverpool and Origi are set to part ways this summer.
Romano believes AC Milan are pushing to sign the £10m man, and are confident of sealing a deal for the Belgium international.
The Italian journalist states that the Serie A giants have already made a proposal to Origi, who now looks set to depart Liverpool.
You can see what Romano wrote on Twitter below.
It will be sad to see Origi depart, although it’s probably for the best.
Since Luis Diaz arrived in January, the 26-year-old has barely featured for the Reds.
With Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané and Diogo Jota also in the attacking department, there is no need to extend Origi’s contract.
Divock Origi is a Liverpool legend

In our view, there will be few dry eyes in the house when Origi plays his final game at Anfield.
The £60,000-a-week man somehow turned his Liverpool career around, when it looked like he’d be off in 2018 after struggling at VfL Wolfsburg.
Origi went on to score two vital goals against Barcelona in the 2019 Semi-Final, before netting the winner in the final against Tottenham.

Even this season, his 94th minute winner against Wolves at Molineux could end up being a crucial strike as Liverpool hunt for their second Premier League title.
Time and time again, Origi has stepped up for Liverpool, and he will undoubtedly be dearly missed on Merseyside.
