Matty Cash has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Philippe Coutinho is ‘next level’ and makes it look ‘easy’ in Aston Villa training, as he told talkSPORT.
The Villa right-back was full of praise for the 29-year-old, who he described as a ‘normal guy’ in and around Bodymoor Heath.
Following his loan move from Barcelona in January, Coutinho’s form has hit the roof in Claret and Blue colours.
Whilst he thrives at Villa Park, the Brazilian is beginning to attract interest from other clubs, including the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal, as reported by SPORT.
It’s not yet known whether Coutinho will be a Villa player next season, but one thing is for sure, Cash has been speaking to his teammates about wanting to sign him up.
“He makes football look so easy,” said Cash. “Playing with him and training with him, it’s just like, he’s next level.
“He’s got a shimmy that everybody has seen, honestly, it’s so quick. To have him on your team, it’s brilliant.
“He’s next level and such a normal guy. One of the most expensive best football players in the world. Having him around Bodymoor and working with him, is next level.
“Me and Ollie Watkins drive in every day and I said the day before ‘we need to sign him. Sign him up’, so I will leave the club to do that. Everybody knows how important he is to us. It would be an honour to play another couple of years with us.”

In truth, it would be a surprise if Coutinho ended up at Tottenham, especially given that he joined Villa because of Steven Gerrard.
The Villa boss has made it clear that he wants to sign him up on a permanent basis, so it’s just a case of the player signing on the dotted line.
When it comes to finances, those in the West Midlands could argue that their pockets are heavier than Tottenham’s.
Not only that, he has already built a connection with the Villa Park fanbase, plus there seems to be some sort of buy option in his clause for Villa to snap him up, so fans shouldn’t be too worried too much about Coutinho heading elsewhere.
