Some Crystal Palace fans on social media are over the moon after they were linked with a move for Lyon centre-back Joachim Andersen.
Andersen has just spent a season playing Premier League football in London with Fulham, and while the Whites were relegated, the Dane was one of the standout performers.
Indeed, Fulham may have gone down, but Andersen showed his brilliance under Scott Parker.
The fact that Andersen captained Fulham on numerous occasions last term despite being a loan player tells you all you need to know about him.
As you can imagine, a fine season at Craven Cottage saw him catch the eye of numerous Premier League sides, and despite the fact Spurs have also registered an interest in him, Palace are now at the front of the queue.
The Eagles certainly need a new defender, and it seems as though Andersen could be the next through the door after the acquisition of Marc Guehi.
