Some Liverpool fans on Twitter aren’t liking what they’re hearing with regards to Gini Wijnaldum.
The Netherlands international has less than a year to run on his contract at Anfield.
And with no sign of an extension being signed as of right now, The Independent has claimed that the Liverpool midfielder could elect for a ‘change of scenery’.
The report adds that Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman could sign him up to a pre-contract agreement in January, with the Dutchman having worked alongside the powerful midfielder with the Netherlands’ national team.

Every Liverpool fan and their dog wants Thiago Alcantara at Anfield, but the knock-on effect to that happening is a reduction in game time for the former Newcastle player.
Wijnaldum is a huge player for Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, one who started 35 out of a possible 38 Premier League games last season as the title went to Anfield for the first time ever.
But you could certainly see why he’d be reluctant to stay because, well, Thiago is a direct threat to him and so long as there’s speculation about the Spanish midfielder joining, there’s going to be speculation about Wijnaldum leaving.
