Some Tottenham fans on social media have been hammering Jose Mourinho’s usage of substitutions against Everton, mainly complaining about Dele Alli and Gareth Bale.

The London club needed a win against Everton in order to keep their hopes of getting into the top four alive, but as we know, they failed to beat the Toffees, and it would now take something of a minor miracle for Spurs to get a Champions League spot.

Mourinho’s game management left a lot to be desired in the eyes of Spurs fans as they believed that the decision to bring Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura on instead of Bale and Alli was a shocker.

Alli would get onto the pitch later on, coming on as a 93rd minute sub after Harry Kane’s injury, but it’s nigh on impossible to have an impact when you’re coming on that late.

To be fair, we can understand the fanbase’s frustration here. Alli and Bale are both former PFA award winners and would have been impact players off the bench when Spurs were chasing the game, but sadly, Mourinho didn’t quite see it that way.

Here’s what Tottenham fans have been saying on social media…
