Jamie Redknapp was stunned by just how fast Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-Min Son was last night, as per his comments to Sky Sports, during their live coverage.
Son scored Tottenham’s second goal of the evening, as they beat Brentford 2-0 to book their place in the League Cup final.
The South Korean raced from the half way line to burst past three Brentford defenders and get one-on-one with David Raya in goal.
Son then lifted his shot over the goalkeeper, with a tidy finish.
And Redknapp was very impressed by the speed which Son showed to get away.
“What I love about Son is we talk about his attributes but look at the desire he shows,” Redknapp said. “He’s like a 100m sprinter. He’s on the mark and he’s off.
“He sees the ball go into Kane and look at him go! The right-back can’t catch him and it’s a brilliant finish.”

Son is currently enjoying the best goalscoring spell of his career, and his pace has been vital to Tottenham’s attacks.
With Harry Kane dropping deep, Son seems to be thriving with the space that he is being afforded, and defences simply cannot handle him.
Son’s persistent excellence means that he is now regarded as a genuinely world class player by most observers, and Tottenham will be looking to him to perform again in April, when they take on either Manchester United or Manchester City in the final.
