Ryan Mason has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose is injured and can’t play in the Premier League, as he has not been registered, in Football London.
The Telegraph suggested that Rose had requested to rejoin Tottenham’s training upon the news that Jose Mourinho had been dismissed.
But Mason has played down suggestions that the 30-year-old left-back could return to the fold at Spurs.
“I haven’t spoken to Danny personally,” he said. “He’s injured at the moment and also I’m pretty sure he can’t play in the Premier League.
“He’s not been included in the Premier League squad so that’s something to be honest I’ve not really thought about.
“My main priority at the moment has been the players that are fit, the group that are over there trying to prepare as best possible for the game tomorrow because it’s been such a short turnaround that there’s not been much time for anything.”
From Mason’s comments it doesn’t seem like a Rose renaissance is on the card.

The England international may have had some hope that he would be reintroduced to the group upon Mourinho’s departure, but after not playing for a season that was highly unlikely.
Tottenham’s focus will be on Southampton right now, with Mason actually having limited left-back options.
Ben Davies is also sidelined currently, which means Sergio Reguilon is Tottenham’s only fit option in the position.
