Reported Newcastle United target Arturo Vidal has been labelled an ‘incredible’ talent despite his lack of game-time at Barcelona, with Brazil legend Ronaldo paying tribute to a man who has won it all.
This is the second time in the space of a week that the battle-scarred Chilean has been hailed to the hilt by one of the 21st century’s biggest superstars.
Samuel Eto’o raved recently about the attitude, application and ability of a man who has tasted domestic glory at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus, in quotes reported by Mundo Deportivo.
Vidal, despite his still considerable talents, has been tipped to leave the Camp Nou this summer after falling down the pecking order at the La Liga leaders.
And, according to MD, Newcastle would jump at the chance to bring one of the most influential midfielders in the game to England, even if he is now comfortably the wrong side of 30.
Though a man nicknamed ‘The Phenomenon’ believes Vidal still has an important role to play at Barcelona.

“Arturo Vidal is a great player who would play for any team in the world. He is not the absolute starter for Barça but when he enters (the pitch) he is incredible,” Ronaldo, now the majority shareholder of La Liga outfit Real Valladolid, told Goal.
Vidal might have started just nine league games all season but he offered a timely reminder of his talents on Saturday, as Barcelona visited Real Mallorca for their first game since March.
The 33-year-old rolled back the years with a trademark bullet header, setting Barca on their way to a valuable 4-0 win.
