Petit has noted how the 22-year-old Arsenal central defender is a better player now.

“He has a lot of composure and personality on the pitch. He’s improved his communication, his reading of the game and his management of what’s behind him.
“He relied a bit on his strength and speed, but now, he’s adapted to the demands of English football.”
Petit added: “With his physical dimension, he could bring more to set piece, like John Terry or Rio Ferdinand did.
“Passing out the back, he’s progressed a lot and he shouldn’t hesitate to take risks to go up a level, especially in the style of game in place at Arsenal.”
William Saliba a big player for Arsenal and France

The 22-year-old has played nine times for France already in his career.
Saliba was also part of the France squad that reached the final at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Saliba has given one assist in four Premier League appearances for Arsenal so far this season.
The Arsenal no. 2 scored two goals and provided one assist in 27 Premier League matches last season.
The Frenchman also scored one goal in four UEFA Europa League matches for the Gunners last campaign.
There was a time when Saliha had to leave Arsenal on loan.
