Zinedine Zidane has waxed-lyrical about Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and his ‘very specific’ ways of training, as he told his pre-match press conference.
The Real Madrid boss shared how he saw Liverpool’s Premier League title-winning manager up close and personal in training when he was taking his own training course.
Both coaches have had success on the European stage before and they will lock horns in the Champions League tonight.
Zidane spoke highly about how ‘great’ Klopp is and how he has ‘learned’ from the German and his methods in training.
“When I took my training course as a coach, I saw many coaches and some of the best,” said Zidane. “I also saw Jurgen Klopp, but then a coach has its own system. I believe he has a very specific way of training.
Zidane also added: “He’s a great coach. He has the experience and the work he has done. Everyone has their own way.
“I looked at all the technicians and saw a lot of things about him when he was doing the course. I’m not going to copy him but you learn and I learned from him.”

This may not be the titanic battle that took place in 2018 because of the names that are no longer on show from that match.
From players no longer being at the club in Cristiano Ronaldo to the injured stars that aren’t available.
But one this is for sure, Real Madrid v Liverpool will always be a super heavyweight showdown on the European stage.
