Hull City youth coach Craig Fagan has likened reported West Ham target Keane Lewis-Potter to Real Madrid superstar Eden Hazard ahead of the January window.
Speaking to the Athletic, the former Premier League player revealed that there are elements of the Hull attacker’s game that remind him to Hazard, who joined Madrid in 2019 for a reported fee of £150m according to BBC Sport.
As reported by TeamTalk, West Ham are one of many sides chasing Lewis-Potter as we head into the New Year. Southampton and Brentford are also believed to be keen on the forward.
The 20-year-old was a target for Premier League sides during his breakout year in League One last season, and interest has remained strong in the youngster.
The 20-year-old, who mainly plays out on the left but can also operate centrally and on the right, has bagged six goals and four assists in the Championship this season. And for Fagan, Lewis-Potter reminds him of Hazard.
The Hull coach said: “He’s similar to how Eden Hazard plays, with that low centre of gravity, coming inside and shooting. He’s not as good as Hazard by any stretch of the imagination at this point but he’s got the skills and abilities to be striving towards that.”
Lewis-Potter can be West Ham’s next Championship success story

With the Athletic reporting that Hull would be open to selling Lewis-Potter for a fee of around £12m, the youngster could well be on the move to West Ham in 2022 if he can continue his form in the second half of the season.
Moreover, it could be a positive move for the youngster. After all, former Hull star Jarrod Bowen has flourished with the Irons since his move to the club in 2020.
And Lewis-Potter could be the next name to make the move from the Championship to West Ham and become a hit with the club and supporters.
