Leicester City fans lauded Michail Antonio’s performance on Monday night after West Ham ripped them apart at the London Stadium.
After the Hammers scored four at St James’ Park last week, they welcomed their supporters back into their seats last night and dispatched the Foxes by also hitting them to the boundary.
One man that caused utter carnage for a makeshift Leicester backline was the energetic and quick-thinking, Antonio.
The £7 million man (Sky Sports) netted a brace and provided an assist, including an incredible first touch and finish for West Ham’s fourth goal of the night.
Even though Leicester fans saw their team take quite a beating, they were left wowed by Antonio’s display and his utter dominance.
Antonio’s movement without the ball, the aggression in which he forces the opposition into mistakes and then his attacking movement when his own team have the ball is simply too difficult to deal with.
But it was a historic night for Antonio because he also became their all-time leading goalscorer in the Premier League.
Injuries have hampered the former Nottingham Forest man before, but he is now proving just how good he can be with those consistent number of minutes.
David Moyes also deserves huge credit for his rise because he transformed him from a skilful and quick-footed winger to a bulldozing and effective striker.
