Speaking on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel, Michail Antonio has been discussing his toughest ever opponent.
Antonio has played against some of the best players in Premier League history during his time at West Ham from Kevin De Bruyne to Cristiano Ronaldo, but he says that Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk is the best player he has come up against.
Indeed, the Jamaica international says that Van Dijk has got it all, stating that he’s strong, quick and good looking to boot.
It’s fair to say that Antonio is in awe of Van Dijk, as he says that he can not say a single bad word about the Dutch defender.

Antonio says Van Dijk is the best
The West Ham star spoke incredibly highly of the Liverpool defender.
“First up, a nice and simple one, who is the best player you have played against?” Antonio was asked.
“Virgil van Dijk, mate he’s got everything. He’s quick, he’s strong, he’s good looking, he’s got it all. I can’t say a bad word about him. He’s got everything,” Antonio said.
Simply the best
It’s hard to make an argument against this claim.
As a striker, Antonio is bound to believe that defenders are his toughest opponents, and it’s fair to say that Van Dijk is the best of the bunch when it comes to centre-backs in this day and age.
The Liverpool ace has been unbelievable ever since arriving in England, and there’s a real argument to make that he’s the greatest centre-back to ever play in this league.
Interestingly, Antonio did have a great record against Liverpool early in his career, netting three times in his first three league appearances against them, but, as you may have guessed, that all changed when Van Dijk arrived with Antonio failing to score in any of his last five games against Liverpool.
