Bernd Leno has just heavily hinted that he’d be interested in quitting Arsenal in January.
It was widely reported last week that the Gunners would listen to offers for their out-of-favour goalkeeper this winter.
Mikel Arteta has stripped the Germany international of the number one shirt at Arsenal, giving it to new keeper Aaron Ramsdale instead.
Since joining in a £30 million deal this past summer, the former Sheffield United star has been faultless and Leno won’t be winning his place back anytime soon.
Bild journalist Christian Falk revealed on Twitter on Wednesday that Inter Milan were among those keen.
And a few hours later, Leno admitted that a move to that Italian city might well interest him.
He said to Bild: “London is very nice; Milan is not bad either & closer to my home Stuttgart. But I’m not seriously thinking about that yet. Only if nothing changes in my situation by winter would I have to think about things: what option do I have, how can I continue?”

It is a little hard not to feel a bit sorry for Leno, who cost Arsenal £22 million back in 2018.
After all, the former Bayer Leverkusen man hadn’t put a foot wrong this season before Arteta swapped him with Ramsdale.
Yes, there was a 5-0 defeat by Manchester City early on, but that was a reflection on Arsenal’s defending more than it was Leno’s goalkeeping.
Lord knows he has made a lot of mistakes down the years, but he was playing fine when Arteta alternated him and although fans will be angry with his comments, they are understandable.
