Nottingham Forest target Fouad Bachirou is on his way out of Molde, sporting director Daniel Andersson has confirmed to Fotboll Skanalen.
When the 30-year-old Comoros international failed to turn up for training on Tuesday morning, it became clear that reports linking him with a move to the City Ground were on the money.
Forest have allegedly agreed a deal that will see Bachirou join Sabri Lamouchi’s squad for £600,000.
According to France Football, a defensive midfielder who worked under Graham Potter at Ostersunds, will sign an initial two-year contract, with the option for a third.
And Andersson was in no mood to play down the speculation when contacted by the Swedish press today.
“He’s gone,” Molde’s director says. “(He) is meeting another club. I can say no more.”

A former Greenock Morton enforcer who honed his ball-winning talents under the wing of Claude Makelele at Paris Saint-Germain, Bachirou will add some extra steel at the heart of Nottingham Forest’s midfield.
He could replace Alfa Semedo, who returned to Benfica after a disappointing loan spell.
It remains to be seen whether Ben Watson, the 35-year-old rejuvenated by Lamouchi, will be wearing Garibaldi red next season either.
