Some Liverpool fans on Twitter believe that Mo Salah has designs on leaving Anfield this summer, following some cryptic comments in the press.
Salah, a £35 million signing by the Reds, has been a revelation under Jurgen Klopp since joining from Roma in 2017.
The 28-year-old, a Champions League winner with Liverpool last summer, has scored a superb 73 Premier League goals in 103 appearances, and helped the Anfield club end their 30-year title drought this month.
But there are doubts over his long-term future on Merseyside – especially after what he’s just said.
When asked about his future, Salah refused to say whether or not he was staying at Liverpool, revealing the ominous ‘Let’s see what will happen’.
He said via Goal.com: “I just want to enjoy today and enjoy the moment. No one knows the future and what will happen. Let’s see what will happen. But at the moment we win the Champions League, we win the Premier League, I’m happy.”
Despite insisting he’s happy, these are still worrying comments and here’s how Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter:
Salah is going to leave Liverpool eventually, but it’ll be a hammer blow if it’s this season.
Klopp will want to build a dynasty at Anfield, a long-term period of domestic and European success, and it’s hard to do that without your talisman.
