Ben Foster has claimed that Liverpool transfer target, Jude Bellingham, will leave Bourissa Dortmund next summer, but he urged him not to join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, as he told the Fozcast.

The former goalkeeper thinks Jude Bellingham could go down a similar road as £100 million man Jack Grealish, who has struggled since joining the Premier League champions last summer.

It has been well-documented for a while now that Jurgen Klopp wants Bellingham at Liverpool, but added with Manchester City and Manchester United, a certain Real Madrid are also keen to secure his talents.

Of course, whilst all those swim around Bellingham’s talent pool in order to lure him towards their direction next summer, he could yet stay at Dortmund.

The 19-year-old has a contract until 2025, so from that aspect, they aren’t in any rush to sell perhaps the hottest footballing property out there right now.

Whilst Liverpool fans won’t like to hear it, and it’s no surprise given that it’s his former club, but Foster thinks Bellingham would suit Manchester United a lot more.

“Where is Jude Bellingham going to go next summer? Because he is going to go somewhere, isn’t he?” said Foster. “Everybody knows he is going to leave Dortmund.

“I would love to see him go to Manchester United. I would absolutely love it. I think he would thrive more. He would have more responsibility and he would enjoy it there more. He will know he is the main man.

“I worry if he goes to a club like Manchester City, then it might just sort of, a bit like Jack Grealish. Everybody buzzes off Jack Grealish at Aston Villa. He was the main man. I just feel he will fade at Man City.

“He’s an absolute joke, isn’t he?! Just everything about him. His footballing ability speaks for itself. But his work rate. He’s like a proper old-school England midfielder. Gets about the place. Industrious. Loves a tackle.

“He is a leader already. At 19, the fact that he is able to be dragging players around. Telling them where to go and where to be, then doing it himself and backing it up. What an absolute player.”

BELLINGHAM SHOULD STAY AT DORTMUND

Bellingham is riding a wave, he is now an England regular and come the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, he should be a starter for Gareth Southgate as they kick off their tournament against Iran.

But one of the main reasons why Bellingham is in his current position was his call to leave Birmingham City for Germany, and not like a typical top talent from England would do, and move to a big club in the Premier League.

That’s kept him out of the limelight in England, where you are hyped up to stupid proportions, then knocked down in a ridiculous fashion.

The rising England star is still in his teenage years, even if he left in a few years time, he would still be considered a youngster.

Stay in your current environment, rather than moving to a Premier League club, struggling for your first few games and being told by everyone that you are already a flop.
