Alan Shearer has praised Dejan Kulusevski and claimed that the Juventus loanee has given Tottenham a ‘different angle’.

Whilst a lot of the spotlight and talk is around Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane, their recent January addition is slowly going about his stuff.

The 21-year-old started Tottenham’s 5-1 hammering of Newcastle United on Sunday and supplied an assist for Son to get on the scoresheet.

That was Kulusevski’s fifth assist from his ten Premier League games following his winter transfer move from Turin to London.

Shearer likes what he sees from Tottenham’s new boy and the manner in which he has settled into Antonio Conte’s front three, as he told Premier League Productions (03/04/22 at 7:05 pm).

“I have said how much we have praised Son and Kane,” said Shearer. “But with the addition of Kulusevski in there, he has given them a different angle.

“He’s not taken the pressure of those two. But he has certainly added to what they already have.

“You don’t have to just worry about those two. But he’s added in there. They brought Bergwijn on and they have Moura, so they have ammunition upfront certainly.”

Son, Kane and Kulusevski are now proving to be some dynamic, explosive and ruthless front three in the Premier League.

It could guide the north London club to Champions League football, although their neighbours, Manchester United and West Ham will have something to say about that.

Whatever happens come May, by the time the 2022/23 season starts, Spurs need those front three leading the charge for them.

If a piece is taken out, mainly Kane, then it will upset the apple cart, so this upcoming summer transfer window is crucial for all involved at Tottenham.
