How’s Saliba getting on?
It’s fair to say that Saliba is performing brilliantly back in France.
He’s been earning all sorts of praise from fans and pundits alike, and he was at it again on Thursday.
He helped ten-man Marseille on their way to a clean sheet against Lokomotiv Moscow and his stats show just how fantastic he was.
He was pivotal to everything the French outfit did. He made 119 passes, completing 95 per cent of his attempts, while he was also a defensive rock, making two tackles, three blocks and one interception.
Bright future
Despite the fact Mikel Arteta seemingly isn’t his biggest fan, Saliba surely has a bright future in this game.
It feels like we’ve been talking about this young man’s potential for years at this point but, let’s not forget, he’s only 20 years old.
He may have a decade of development ahead of him before he hits his peak and he’s already putting in commanding performances in Europe.
Saliba could be a truly premier defender in years to come.
