Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to Gareth Bale walking away from an interview after being asked about his international future.
Wales were knocked out of Euro 2020 on Saturday when they were thumped 4-0 by Denmark during the round of last-16 stage.
There were some familiar faces out on the field for Spurs fans to keep an eye out for, including Bale, Joe Rodon, Ben Davies and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
But it was Hojbjerg, from the Tottenham camp, celebrating at the end after his side progressed through to the quarter-finals.
Understandably, there was hurt and anger from the Wales camp and from their captain after the final whistle.
That was shown when Bale was asked whether he has played his last game for Wales by BBC Sport and he issued all of that with a pretty blunt response.
The dead-ball specialist, with a glare in his eyes, didn’t even consider answering the question, and instead, walked away from the interview.
A number of Spurs fans have backed their 2020/21 loanee for his reaction to that question and criticised the timing of it given that it came after his country had just been knocked out of the tournament.
During the final few weeks of the recently concluded Premier League campaign, Bale shared that he would inform everyone of his future plans until after the Euros are over.
Bale’s made it clear that he didn’t want to say anything at that time because it would just cause ‘chaos’, as he told Sky Sports.
That time has come and it will be interesting to see what he does during these coming weeks, as Spurs fans reacted to what he did after full-time yesterday:
